Set Output Settings

This part mainly describes how to select output format and path, how to manage your output format list, how to set advanced settings for each format:

 

Part One: How to select output format and path?

 

 

Format: Click to show the profile list from which you select output format.

Settings: Click to set advanced video and audio parameters.

Merge into one file: Click to combine all selected items together as one output file.

Output: Show the path of output location. The software will specify a default folder to save converted videos.

Browse: Click to specify output location. If you’d like to change the output location, please click “Browse” button and navigate to the folder you want to save videos to.

Open: Click to open the folder that contains generated files.

Note - Full Disc Copy for Output: When using Full Disc Copy, the original BD/DVD file structures will be copied, and the backup speed is super fast. Below is the screenshot for copying the full disc in 1:1. You just need to click "Full Disc Copy" icon.

 

 

Click on the "Format" bar to set output format. When the profile list pops up, select desired video or audio format from the list.

 

 

Tip 1: You are encouraged to use H.264 codec in order to take advantage of the GPU en-decoding acceleration of Nvidia GeForce graphic cards and successors.

Tip 2: You can use the Search function on the lower right to find the output format you like to select quickly.

 

 

Part Two: How to manage your output format list?

Click "Customize" to enter Profile Manager window, it helps you sort out the formats you usually used, hide rarely used ones and choose the diplayed mode you like.

The Profile Manager can be divided into two parts. The left part is operation area and right display field.

Custom
Under Custom tab you can find all the output format groups. Unfold each group to check individual output format. There is a checkbox before each format and group. To hide the format/ group, just uncheck the corresponding box. To view details of an output format, simply select it, and the Profile Manager will display its remarks at the left-bottom.

 

 

Part Three: How to set advanced settings for each output format?

Set Advanced Settings: To further customize the output format, please click “Settings” button and adjust advanced video/ audio parameters.

 

 

Video Section: You can set Codec, Bit Rate, Size, and Frame Rate to optimize the quality of the video.

Audio Section: You can set Codec, Bit Rate, Sample Rate and Channels to make the quality better.

 

Tips for adjusting the Video/Audio parameters:

1. Set video size equals to set video resolution, you can adjust them to 1280*720 for iPad, 854*480 for Droid X, 800*480 for galaxy S, 640*360 for Nokia N8, 1920*1080 for HD videos, etc.

2. Set higher bitrate, frame rate or sample rate can let you output high quality video/audio, bigger size. So lower the bitrate and frame rate/sample rate can downscale the video size.

3. The audio channel can be selectable, if your source video is in 5.1 channels, you’d better select 5.1 channels to keep its perfect 5.1 audio quality. And 5.1 channels can be selected from video format encorded with AC3, AAC, WMAV auido. And 7.1 channels can only be choosed from WMAV3 auido format.

4. The maximal Frame rate in the output format supported by the program is 30fps. If your source video frame rate is higher than 30 fps and you type the 60fps, 50fps etc to keep the data.

Save As: Click to save your settings as a suitable format for you.
To save the format with the settings your adjusted, you can just click "Save as"' button and rename the format before clicking "OK" to save the changed parameters. So the next time you just want to use the same format with the same settings, you can easily find it in "Custom" from the output format list. You can rename the format name and rewrite the comment in follow panel for better expressing and remembering.

 

 

Reset: Click to reset the default settings.

Output Information: You can check the output file information like the file size, free disk space here.

 

: This icon is used for directly changing the information display of current file to previous file when the files are showed in the filelist.

: This icon is used for directly changing the information display of current file to next file when the files are showed in the filelist.
