If you are like any other consumer out there who has recently purchased an HD, high-definition camcorder, most of you may have encountered some difficulty downloading or playing back your video footage. Most of the latest camcorders, especially those that record to either SD, SDHC, or Hard-Drive media, are encoded in AVCHD format. QuickTime simply don’t support AVCHD files. But don’t worry, now with multiple MTS Converters out there you are able to easily find a solution for your problem. Based on my own experience, I’d like to recommend Aunsoft Mac MTS/M2TS to HD Converter which works thoroughly in contrast to most other MTS converters out there when converting AVCHD files to HD videos on Mac.
You can use Mac MTS/M2TS to HD Converter to convert the AVCHD files from Canon HR10, JVC GZ-HD7, Sony HDR-3, etc to other HD video on my Mac, specifically H.264 HD video with MOV extension. The program didn’t let you down on its fairly fast conversion speed plus with its perfect synchronization of video and audio without a laggy or bad output.
You may wonder now how to use the app after my long speech. Ok, let me show you how you can perfectly converting AVCHD files to HD videos without quality loss with my personally recommended MTS converter.
Step 1. Download, launch and add AVCHD MTS/TS/M2TS files to the app. You can simply drag and drop your AVCHD files to the program or click “Add” button to load your videos. This is how the program looks like.
Step 2(Optional). Trim, crop and deinterlace your AVCHD MTS/M2TS files. Editing functions are available in Aunsoft MTS Converter by clicking “Editor” button in the menu bar. You are allowed to trim, crop your videos as well as adding text/image/video watermarks, etc.
Step 3. Choose HD Video output format and specify your destination folder for converted videos. As you can see from the screenshot below, there are multiple HD video options for you in “HD Video” catalogue from “Format” drop-down menu. You can directly choose preferred HD video for playing back on Mac or editing in Final Cut Pro/Adobe Premiere.
Step 4. Start AVCHD MTS/M2S to HD Video conversion by clicking the big “Convert” button. Here I’d like to present one big spotlight for Aunsoft MTS Converter-the function of merging/joining/combining multiple MTS/M2TS files to one single HD output! You can realize the function by simply ticking the checkbox of “Merge into one file”. I’m sure many of your will love the function. Because it was a life-saver for me!
Tips: Aunsoft Studio also has Windows version for MTS/M2TS Converter, you can have a check at here.
