Final Mate for Mac
Capture video footage from camcorder, join/split AVCHD without encoding, convert to Apple ProRes & AICI am a journalist working for a newspaper office. Frequently, I pick my Panasonic AG-HMC73MC and shoot video clips everywhere to seize some useful video information. The formats of these videos are AVCHD. According to my friend’s advice, I have to convert AVCHD to Apple ProRes as I want to edit those videos in FCP.
As far as I know, AVCHD is a high definition format which was put forward by the company of Sony and Panasonic in May 2006. The appearance of AVCHD format makes it possible that HDV products are able to support all styles of 8cm DVD disc.
Besides, Mac FCP is a fairly strong video editing tool for me to cut and edit video clips to create more useful video information. And with the appearance of ProRes format specially for Mac FCP, I can experience faster and HD editing process. I have downloaded many tools to convert AVCHD to Apple ProRes, but all of them didn’t satisfy me until I discover the Aunsoft Final Mate for Mac. Here I am going to share my experience with others who are searching for a tool to convert AVCHD to ProRes.
To get start, I run the Final Mate for Mac, and connect my Panasonic AG-HMC73MC to computer with USB cable. Select “Import” to get videos from camcorder.
Then I drag and drop these files to the movie tab to build a project for conversion. I can also cut and edit these files in a simple way(only click several buttons), and after this, I can enter the setting interface by clicking the “Export” button.
I have said that Aunsoft Final Mate can convert AVCHD videos to ProRes in an easy way, so what I need to do is only to find the “Export into Editor” and choose Apple ProRes for outputting. Click “OK” button and that is all you need to do.
