“I have Panasonic HDC-SD5 camcorder, which is almost 3 years old to shoot my family videos. Recently, I got Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ38 camera, which produces videos in 720p AVCHD Lite. I would like to assemble the videos from camcorder and Lumix camera to create unique family videos. When I import camcorder AVCHD to VS12, there is no problem. However, VS12 could not cope with Lumix camera AVCHD Lite video footage.
I googled for AVCHD Lite and Lumix, and found Aunsoft MTS/M2TS Converter the recommended Lumix AVCHD Lite MTS converter to convert Panasonic 720p MTS files to MP4 for editing HD videos in Corel VideoStudio 12 Pro X2. It makes it easy to merge Panasonic HDC-SD5 AVCHD and Lumix DMC-FZ38 AVCHD Lite in VideoStudio 12.”
Follow the steps below, and you can make the Panasonic proprietary AVCHD Lite 720p videos editable in Corel VideoStudio 12, and even other Windows editing software like Windows Movie Maker.
Step 1. Load Panasonic Lumix videos to Aunsoft MTS/M2TS Converter.
After the AVCHD Lite .mts files are transferred from camera to PC hard drive disk, run Aunsoft MTS/M2TS Converter as the best Lumix DMC-FZ38 MTS converter, click the "Add" button to load the 720p .mts videos, or use the drag and drop method to load AVCHD Lite video footage to application UI.
Step 2. Choose MP4 output format.
Click the "Format" option, and choose to Common Video > H.264 Video(*.mp4) as output format. The Panasonic Lumix MTS converter will transcode 720p AVCHD Lite files to MP4 with AVC/H.264 as video codec, keeping original 1280x720 resolution.
Actually, you may also choose HD Video > H.264 HD Video(.mp4) as output format. However, to keep the original settings with best quality, you may need to click the "Settings" button and choose 1280x720 as video resolution from the drop-down list of the video size option, and choose high quality for video bit rate.
Step 3. Convert Panasonic Lumix AVCHD Lite to MP4 for VideoStudio 12.
Click the convert button under the preview window, and the Panasonic Lumix MTS converter will start converting Panasonic DMC-FZ38 720p AVCHD Lite to MP4 for Corel VideoStudio 12 Pro X2.
After the converter, you can import the HD 720p MP4 videos to VideoStudio 12, and then burn them to Blu-ray disc with a Blu-Ray disc writer in your computer.
