Aunsoft MTS/M2TS Converter enables you to converting AVCHD video (*.mts, *.m2ts) to different formats. Thus, we shall download and install the MTS/M2TS converter on our Windows computer. Before conversion or editing, we shall also transfer AVCHD videos from camcorder to computer hard disk.
Part I. Convert AVCHD video to various formats.
Step 1. Run Aunsoft MTS/M2TS Converter and import AVCHD videos.
After launching Aunsoft MTS/M2TS Converter, you will notice the Add button on the top-left corner of the program UI. Just click the Add button, and you can browse and load file in *.mts, *.m2ts, *.m2t,*.ts, *.tp, *.trp formats to the program for conversion.
Step 2. Choose output format and folder.
Click the option for Format, you will notice that Aunsoft MTS/M2TS Converter provides a long list of format profiles for you to choose from. Just select a profile according to your usage, e.g. for video playback on iPad, just choose one of the profile in the iPad group.
Click the Browse button for Output, you can specify the folder to save the output files. You can change the folder for each conversion, making it easy for you to manage the output files.
Note:Aunsoft MTS/M2TS Converter provides the Remux group for you to quickly change the format of the video without changing the original video and audio content. With the remux option, you shall pay attention to the compatibility of the original file video codec and audio codec to the selected output file format.
Step 3. Change video and audio settings. (optional)
If you are familiar with the video codec, video bit rate, audio codec, audio sample rate, and want to specify the output file resolution, just click the Settings button next to the Format option. You will face the window like the following.
Note: You can merge several clips into one file by checking the Merge into one file option on the main interface.
Step 4. Start conversion.
Click the convert button on the bottom-right corner of the main interface, and the program will start converting the selected files with the checkbox ticked on the file list.
Just wait for a while and you will get the AVCHD video converted to the format you want. And then put the output video to iPad, Android phone, Adobe Premiere, Window Movie Maker, Nero Burning ROM, WD TV, and so on.
Aunsoft MTS/M2TS Converter also enables you to edit video before clicking to start conversion. You just need to select a file from the file list, after loading AVCHD videos to the program. And then click the Editor button. You can crop video, trim video, add watermark and change video effect.
1. Crop video.
Under the Crop tab, you can cut off the unwanted part of the video image or unwanted borders.
The program enables you to crop video flexibly with the real-time output preview.
1) Crop video by dragging on preview window.
There is a dashed frame on the original preview window, and you can move the mouse cursor to the green frame on original preview panel and drag the frame to get the image you want.
2) Crop video with exact value.
You can enter the values for Left, Top, Right and Bottom to specify the image you want. After typing the value, press Enter key to activate the change.
3) Crop video with slide bar.
Click the drop-down button next to the Left option, and you can drag the slide bar up and down to change the cropping area.
2. Trim video.
While you want to top and tail a video clip, you can trim the video under the Trim tab.
There are 3 ways to trim video.
1) Drag the triangle button under the preview window to the mark the starting point and the ending point.
2) Click the Set-in button next to the stop button, when the video plays to the frame you want to set as the starting point; and click the Set-out button when the video plays to the frame you want to set as the ending point.
3) Enter value in the box for the starting point and click the Set button under the Trim tab.
3. Add watermark.
You can easily add your brand logo, company logo or watermark to your AVCHD camcorder video to prevent your video from posting by others. With Aunsoft MTS/M2TS Converter, you can add image/video watermark and text watermark.
Under the Image/Video Watermark tab, you can tick the Enable checkbox and add JPG, BMP, GIF, PNG image or video in various formats to the original video. You can specify the position and preview watermark in real time.
Under the Text Watermark tab, just check the box for Enable, and enter the text watermark. The font size, font style and position are customizable.
4. Adjust visual effect.
Click the Effect tab and you can change video brightness, contrast, saturation and add filter effect like gray, flip color, aged film to the video. The program deinterlaces videos by default with the checkbox for Deinterlacing ticked, so that you will not get interlaced artifacts in the output video.
5. Replace video.
Under the Audio Replace tab, you can enable the function to replace the original audio with a new audio file. You can also change the default volume of the output video.
6. Flip video horizontally and vertically.
The program enables you to flip video horizontally and vertically. There are two buttons on the Editor window for horizontal flip and vertical flip. The following effect is the result after clicking the horizontal flip and vertical flip.
