Sony HDR-CX350 is the new camcorder for recording 1080/60i AVCHD videos with built-in GPS. The supplied software for the camcorder works for Windows only, and there is no Mac software bundled. Some of the Mac users may find it difficult to edit Sony HDR-CX350 1080i MTS files in Mac applications like iMovie, Final Cut Pro and Avid Media Composer.
One of the solutions is to convert AVCHD videos to HD MOV with minimum quality loss. Aunsoft MTS/M2TS Converter for Mac is the recommended Mac Sony to Avid converter for making HD videos compatible to Avid Meida Composer (MC). If you have the same problem editing videos in Avid MC, just follow the steps below to convert 1080i MTS to MOV for Avid MC.
Step 1. Add Sony CX350 videos to Aunsoft MTS/M2TS Converter for Mac.
Connect Sony CX550 camcorder to iMac with USB cable, and copy the .mts files from camcorder to Apple hard drive. Run Aunsoft MTS/M2TS Converter for Mac as Sony MTS converter and click the "Add" button to load .mts videos. You can also drag and drop the .mts files to the application UI.
Step 2. Choose H.264 output format.
