I use the WD TV remote to play the folder with the .mts files recorded using the new Panasonic HDC-TM700. Even though Western Digital TV media player can play .mts files sequentially, there are pauses in playback of sequential .mts files. The small delay is likely 2 seconds. I used tsmuxer to join the .mts files for a more complete viewing experience, but the large output .mts video playback present on WDTV shows that the audio track falls behind the video about a second.
When looking for joining mts files for WDTV without quality loss, I find the tsMuxer alternative named Aunsoft Final Mate. It works like a charm when I import my videos, as it would automatically merge the video clips for me, and provide excellent output video quality with fast speed.
Below is my experience about joining sequential .mts fles into one larger file for WDTV in perfect sync. With Aunsoft Final Mate, you will not get quality lost when merging camcorder videos.
Step 1. Capture Panasonic TM700 MTS to Aunsoft Final Mate.
Run Aunsoft Final Mate as the tsmuxer alternative for avoiding re-encoding, and connect Panasonic HDC-TM700 to PC with USB cable. Just follow the TM700 wizard or click the Wizard button in Camcorder Tab to import videos to program, then drag and drop them to create one movie for lossless merging and exporting.
If you have already copied the AVCHD file from camcorder to computer hard drive, just browse the mts files from Resource Tab by selecting a path or clicking Add button to add a new path which stores MTS files, then drag and drop them to create one movie for lossless merging and exporting.
Step 2. Created a Movie for Lossless output.
As we mentioned above, then, please click button under Movies Tab to create or add a new movie, this movie generally is a blank movie with nothing. By default, this movie is created for lossless output. After that, you can drag and drop MTS files from Panasonic TM700 Camcorder Tab or Resource Tab into this blank movie, and then output into only one movie without recoding.
Following is a blank movie for Lossless Output:
Step 3. Lossless output for joining Panasonic HDC-TM700 MTS.
After arranging the Panasonic TM700 AVCHD .mts files, just click the Export button under the preview window, and you will face the window to confirm output details, if it is right, please click the OK button to start merging mts video clips into one mts file as output without re-encoding.
Soon after merging Panasonic HDC-TM700 mts files into one large clip, it is easy to put the videos to WD TV media player. You will notice that there is no quality lost when joining MTS files for WD TV.
1. That the mts files with same parameter settings in frame rate and size, aspect ratio, sample rate and channels, will be merged into one files.
2.The above steps also apply to .m2ts files, .mod files and .tod files for lossless quality output. You can imports videos from camcorders
