WAV and PCM (MXF) both write the exact same data, but to a different container file. As we know, WAV has been used widely since it's introduced by Microsoft for its high quality can compete with that of CD. For exporting to an audio workstation or personal use, sometimes it is quite necessary to extract stereo WAV from MXF. For those guys who lack an effective MXF workflow, you may get some inspiration from this article.

"I have MXF that includes 1 video and 4 audio tracks. First two tracks are left and right audio channel, the rest is empty. I want to extract and compile these two channels into one stereo WAV. Is it possible?" a friend asked in the forum.

A guy suggests him to unwrap 4 tracks MXF to mono wavefiles and then create a stereo wavefile with wave editor. But it's not efficient enough and the extracted audio sounds wired. Adapting advanced audio encoding technology,TransMXF Pro achieves it well. The outstanding highlight is you can trim the file to get your wanted or preferred audio length when converting MXF to stereo WAV. Besides, you're enabled to adjust the audio settings like Codec, Sample Rate, Channels and Audio Bitrate. As one of the most efficient converters, the time-saving and easy-to-handle conversion process is also an essential feature.

More than an MXF to WAV converter, TransMXF Pro can also output more than 50 types of video formats, which extremely expand the compatibility of MXF footage. As the only completely multichannel MXF solution, the program allows user to export MXF to MOV, MKV and MP4 with 2, 4, 8 or more audio channels. TransMXF Pro for Mac is available for Mac user.
