Final Mate
Capture videos from camcorders directly. Convert AVCHD to any format for editing or playing back.
I used Panasonic HDC-TM700 to shoot some videos. But there are often some scenes or useless parts in the recorded video clips that I want to remove. I would like to assemble and merge several video clips into one large file for playback with PlayStation 3.
After googling I find some video converter to join mts files to PlayStation 3, but there is re-encoding conversion. The output video quality is not as good as the original HD quality. Luckily, I find Aunsoft Final Mate to prevent losing quality for assembling AVCHD files to PlayStation 3. I can not only cut and delete the unwanted video, but also join the .mts file without recompressing.
To share with you the fast joining of AVCHD files for Sony PlayStation 3, here I list the simple steps for you, and the final result also keeps the 5.1-channel audio from my Panasonic HDC-TM700.
Step 1. Capture Panasonic MTS files to Aunsoft Final Mate.
Run Aunsoft Final Mate as the fast mts joiner and editor for PS3 for cutting/trimming videos and joining sequential mts for playback. Use USB cable to connect Panasonic HDC-TM700 camcorder to computer. As I had SD memory card on the camcorder, Aunsoft Final Mate recognizes the camcorder model and pops up the following window to choose the camcorder flash memory or SD card as source.
Choose the folder with .mts files, and click Next button. Choose the Import instead of the Backup option for fast video capturing, and click the Next button. You will face the window to choose particular mts files for importing.
Step 2. Split and assemble mts files.
You will notice movie(s) listed on the Movies tab. One movie indicates one file output. Only the files with the same format and recording mode for frame rate, video codec and bit rate could be joined and re-assemble into one movie.
To delete unwanted part of the video, just move the mouser cursor to the timeline. When the mouse pointer changes to a sign with arrow, move to the left or right to remove the unwanted segment. You may also use the Split button to separate the video clip and click the Delete button to remove the video.
Step 3. Join Panasonic TM700 MTS with 5.1 audio.
Click the Export button and you click the OK button to start joining Panasonic HDC-TM700 .mts files into one without recompressing. Since there is no conversion for the output video, you can enjoy the joined mts files on PlayStation 3 with 5.1 audio.

Tips:
1. To join AVCHD mts/m2ts files from computer, just click the import button to load .mts files for merging into a single file.
