1. How to Transfer & Edit Sony HDR-SR5 AVCHD videos on Windows:
Install the Picture Motion Browser (PMB) from the bundled CD in box, and connect Sony HDR-SR5 to PC via USB cable. Use Sony PMB to edit your video by trimming, merging, etc. After editing, use PMB to download HD .mts videos from camcorder to PC for any use.
2. How to Transfer & Edit Sony HDR-SR5 AVCHD videos on Mac:
You can capture and transfer Sony HDR-SR5 MTS videos to iMac/MacBook Pro via iMovie 8 or 9 after connecting camera to computer with USB cable. However, you may face problem when trying to log and transfer AVCHD videos from Sony HDR-SR5 to Final Cut Express (FCE) 4 or Final Cut Pro (FCP) 5. The playback error occurs because the camcorder records video in an AVCHD format.
